Welcome to Vranov Dam Beach

CAMP PLÁŽ company Vranovská přehrada s.r.o. offers accommodation for schools, tourist and sport teams, cyclists and fishermen in May, June, September, October and of course during the main Summer break we provide accommodation for individual tourists and families with children in our recreational holiday centre on the main beach of the Vranov Dam.

Moravian Adriatic - this is what the region that we are inviting you to is often called. The reservoir containing 130mil. m3 of water which is lined by rocky cliffs and forest on both sides creates the main dominant of the area.

Sightseeing fans should have a tour in the Vranov Castle built in 11th century. Extensive collections of valuable paintings, statues, ceramics and period furniture can be found here. If you set out for a trip round the dam you can see not only the ruins of the Cornštejn Castle which was burnt by the army of Czech king George of Poděbrady but also the Bitov Castle which can date as far as to the first half of 11th century. There are valuable collections of historical weapons, taxidermy animals and birds from the whole world.

Lovers of hiking or cycling can use the net of marked paths in the National Park Podyjí. This park stretches out as far as to Austria where Hardegg castle can be seen. On the way back you can see the town of Znojmo with its famous Romanesque rotunda and catacombs under the town centre.

Recreational centre invites you to have a swim in azure blue water and an unforgettable ride on the water slide. There are also sport equipment rentals available (table tennis, volleyball, football tennis, boats and pedal boats).
